OUR STORY
Founded as Sourcery, Inc. in 2013 with the help of Sandia National Laboratory’s Entrepreneurial Separation to Transfer Technology (ESTT) program, Archaeologic initially offered training courses in modern Fortran software development for federal laboratories and companies. Those initial courses translated into consulting relationships, which in turn evolved into our largest efforts to date: custom software development. Our clients are primarily sectors that embraced computing early, including the nuclear energy, automotive engineering, and aerospace fields.
Our Mission
Sourcery Institute is building an ecosystem that supports the learning and adoption of
leading-edge Fortran. We create, teach, and update code that is more efficient, more
robust, more flexible, and well-positioned to help scientists tackle some of the greatest
challenges humanity faces.
Our Vision
We see a world in which modern Fortran is preferred code (no longer legacy code) and where a greater number and diversity of scientists and engineers are shaping a vibrant Fortran community with Sourcery Institute at its center.
